For what you've described, go with Gift theme. Your focus is on a single recipient, a writer. Your collection is so people can buy gifts for writers (or give to themselves). Same for travel and retro; those are gifts for people who like to travel or who enjoy a retro aesthetic. Those are the intended single recipients.

Cross sell is for when the customer is intended to buy a bunch of things from the collection that match; like paper plates that match paper cups and match the invitation. Or a shower curtain that matches bath towels and the bathmat.

I would like to refresh my collections and get them noticed. I click on one and it says zazzle has set it to other but we recommend you don't use other. In this case it is a collection geared towards writers. So there are writer's shirts, author totebags, notebooks, etc inside. What do I choose for the moment and occassion here? It's not really greeting cards or like Valentine's day. It's gifts for writers. Is it gift theme? I don't even understand what cross sell means. I mean I want to cross sell to readers too I guess? They are all based around writing but similar style/theme says to have the same aesthetic? They don't. One is a funny author totebag, another might be a mug geared towards a poet for example. Gift theme seems to be the only one that isn't just invitations but then it says Focus on a single event, holiday, or recipient. How is writing, or a retro theme or travel or whatever a single event, holiday, or recipient? It is so confusing!
