How to make product-design changes become public and permanent?

Hi everyone,

A couple of days ago I tried to change the design-image of a couple of products (a t-shirt and a mug) within the product editor and pressed "Done". I now return to my account and sadly see that the updated designs are not displayed neither on the "public storefront" nor on my "store management" view.

Is it possible to make such change public and permanent in the existing product (i.e. keeping the original product's link)? if possible I would prefer not to have to save it by pressing "sell it" as though it was a "new product", since I had already shared the original product's link with other people and this would create a new link.

Updating a product image is not possible though it is frequently requested. Your only option is to sell it as a new product.
