Product templates and resolution

Hi! 🙂

I would like to know if there is some way to get the product design templates downloaded for the products. For example the calendar, but for all others too.

I found this url:

But only some of them are there.

I want the templates so I can design my products to the maximum quality possible. The only ones that I can guess are the prints, and on the others I can only guess the proportions by looking at the pic, but that is not ideal. Well, another way is capturing screen and making it bigger than required, but I would prefer a template.

Do you know how to get the files for the templates or where are they?

Also, which is the printing resolution used in Zazzle? 150, 200 dpi, 300 dpi?

If there are no templates, I can also make my own knowing the needed resolution and the product description and proportions.

Thanks for your question! The general resolution requirements vary for our products. The recommendations (in pixels per inch) are:

- 150ppi for apparel, aprons, bags, hats, mouse pads, and ties.

- 200ppi for mugs, drinkware, calendars, cards, keychains, magnets, postcards, and all stickers.

- 300ppi for photo enlargements/prints, and posters.

To fill the full area on any product, we recommend that you use images that are equal to or larger than the size of the area it's covering (so 10x12 inches for a 10x12 inch product)

This is where the now unsupported Zazzle/Adobe Photoshop extension called Adobe Design to Print excelled. You launched the program inside Photoshop, chose a product that you wanted to create, and it created a template in the correct DPI resolution required for each product—complete with product boundaries marked. Then the program would upload each layer/item separately as individual layers that can be moved/manipulated in Zazzle’s design tool. You can still use it to create most products, but not new products added after Zazzle/Adobe stopped supporting it. If you have Photoshop, you can still use Adobe Design to Print. First, you need to download an older version of Photoshop onto your computer (you can have more than one version on your computer—the current version plus an older version) then you install the Adobe Design to Print extension from your Creative Cloud account it.

It’s such a great tool. I still use it daily. Please, Zazzle, support it again.

That addon may be fantastic. But I use Paint Shop Pro and other editors. My Photoshop is very old.

Actually any PNG template would work, as it's an universal format. But I understand that plugin was very useful for Photoshop users.

The guide files for creating images can be found in the design tool for the relevant product, where applicable. To do this, you click on "help" then select "guidelines" then select "pdf" from the options. Sorry for the delay in replying, I'd suggest a resolution of 300dpi on wallpaper, as it's a relatively large product, and the extra resolution would help keep the design clean without risk of blurring.

Unfortunately, I can't find any info on the size of the art for items. For example, I'm trying to add my art to standard aprons, but there is no info. Generally, I always use 300 dpi. But is it that hard to add what the dimension should be? The help section isn't helpful, since AI can't answer me, and there are no humans on weekends.
