Cards with or without verses inside?

I've made cards, some with and some without verses inside and was wondering if it's best to keep doing verses or leaving them blank.
What is your preference when buying a card? Do you like the inside left blank or a verse or greeting that can be personalized, changed or removed.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I tend to put greetings inside that may be altered/personalized.

I have both standard greetings and note cards, which are just greetings without inside text. The latter don't sell well at all, probably because, these days, people rarely hand write notes to one another to send via the mail.

That's a good question. Here is my experience with it.

I'm not good at making sayings for the inside of cards, so mostly I design blank cards.

I once sold 500 copies of a card without any writing inside to one customer.

And 20 blank Sympathy cards to one customer.

Another customer purchased 200 copies of a blank floral card.

The first card I mentioned that sold 500 copies to one customer was also purchased by a different customer who bought 63 of them.

So, customers do buy blank cards.

@Angel: Your experience is encouraging. I hope so because I love designing blank cards. I ought to try a few that have particular uses such as Get Well or Congratulations, something that, if it does nothing else, gets them found.
