Meyers Briggs personality types acceptable?

Been trying to get a response from support, but they sent me the "we don't pre-approve designs" auto-response (I didn't ask them about designs, I asked about titles and tags), which I responded to, and they just ignored my response to that re titles and tags (I sent them a 3rd email thanking them for ignoring my 2nd request). Types like INTJ, for example - can't find that they're verboten copyright or trademark-wise, and there are designs up in the marketplace for those, but that doesn't really tell you anything. I'm just talking about tags and titles specifically, I won't be using those in designs themselves (probably), and won't be using "meyers briggs" specifically, just "INTJ". Anybody run into it? Thanks.

Not entirely sure what this says about my personality... but the last time I did one of those silly things (as a requirement for a work retreat) I totally manipulated it.. I don't remember if it was specifically Meyers-Briggs, it had 4 quadrants and your circle was supposed to appear in one of the 4. Mine was dead center 😈

I don't really need a test to tell me that I'm an introvert that really doesn't like sitting down and answering all of your silly, transparent, leading questions.

this made me laugh - I don't put much weight into these personality tests either (especially in a corporate setting), but have you heard of gretchen rubin's "the four tendencies" - you sound like the "rebel". hee hee

You don't need to personally support something to create products for those who do .... consider election merch and religious stuff as a prime example (science has a lot to say about creationism too) ... this is business.

I'd never heard of such a thing and so I just now had to look it up. It immediately reminded me of the Kuder Preference test I took in high school, which purported to guide people into appropriate careers. I didn't (and still don't) think well amidst disorder, and the test actually picked up on this, the results being I'd be happiest as a file clerk. My guidance counselor was confused, but I wasn't and proceeded to study art just as I'd planned.

Are there really enough people who buy into this that you could sell them related products?

How and why is it used? People's personalities and proclivities are fairly easy to discern, though maybe not so much these days with computerized methods of communication taking over.

It may be used in other contexts, but I know of it from workplace settings. The other one used is DiSC- which is accurate too, but not as finely detailed. It's often used in groups or departments to learn other people's "letters" - then to use that for improved communication. For example, a "D" personality type wants bottom line, detail free communication. If you work for them - give them the bottom line, as too many details will drive them nuts. The C's love detail! So if you work for them and DON'T give details, they'll feel like you're being sloppy. Stuff like that.

It sounds like the age old habit of generalizing. You know, "there are two types of people," only in this case, they've added more types of people.

I dunno; over the 50 years at various employers I've taken a number of tests with peers so management can "get to know us better" (then promptly ignore the results, of course), and I always end up in a category by myself while everybody else is on teams of 4-6. But I'm not looking to promote something that hasn't already promoted itself. Generally speaking, people who take such things seriously are a bit shallow, as will be my designs.

Not really different from the people interested in their astrological sign. People eat that stuff up. I used to cast birth charts back in the day, it was pretty fun. Back then I had to draw all the charts by hand and use a typewriter.

I have neighbors who are identical twins. They're impossible for anyone who doesn't know them to tell them apart, but all their neighbors always know which one is which because, though physically Identical, they're different in every other way. One is named Pete, but other isn't named Repeat.
