What's the point of adding media?

I started adding media to my collections but it only shows the first media photo on the collection page -- without the caption and nothing else. And, yes, I did look at in public view. Why am I wasting my time creating media if no one sees it but me?

@Nancy7 it only really works if the collection type is set to cross sell that you see them at the bottom of the product page.

Other types of collections - gifts/similar/different styles etc don't show them yet (could happen in the future though -who knows)

Interesting -- the collections I've added media to are cross-sale. There is nothing at the bottom of the collection page, the product category page, or the specific product page. The only media showing is on the Collections page. I added more than one media shot to Lemonade Summer Collection but it's not showing. Who knows maybe they will show up sometime somewhere?/
