Hi,

Does anyone have a good suggestion for creating a thin line border (not an outside border, but more like a thin text frame) within the arch card product? I work with Photoshop and Canva, and consider myself an intermediate PS user. I've tried a few tricks, but can't get anything I'm happy with. I used the Zazzle arch shape, and added a frame, but when I reduce the size to fit inside the arch, the areas outside the thin border are off. Any suggestions would be great. TIA!

This is how I would do it in photoshop: start with an arch the same size as the card (you can download the shape from an existing card). Next create an inside stroke on the arch, wide enough to land approximately where you want your thin frame to lie. Set the layer fill to 0%. Rasterize the layer. Now create your thin frame by adding an outside stroke to this layer. Rasterize the layer again and erase the outer stroke which leaves you with a completed thin frame that lines up nicely within the card. There might be a quicker way to do this, but I don't know of one. Maybe someone else will chime in and make us both wiser! I created a few like this in different widths and turned them into svgs so I've always got one handy.

I ended up making mine first in Photoshop also, and then vectorizing them into SVGs. I just find Photoshop easier to use than Illustrator. But I did it the hard way with paths. Your stroke trick would have been easier.
