How to create and populate an HTML table with product thumbnail and link

Click on the ellipsis (...) above to expand the toolbar options (bold, italic, underline, etc.)

To the right of the camera icon is now a table icon. Click on the drill down button, and put your mouse over the Table choice in the drop down menu. Move the mouse out to the grid on the right once more (don't click!) to set the number of rows and columns you want in your post (so for a 2 rows, 2 columns table, I move my mouse across and down, until these boxes are filled with a solid color). Click on the box in the lower row corner to make your table when you're satisfied with your table.

Now click on the HTML button to show the source code.

To populate this HTML table with your product link/thumbnail image,
you just need to add the <div>...</div> lines of code for it,
immediately after the HTML coding for non-breaking spaces (symbolized by  ) or
before the closing </td> tag.

Repeat this for every product link and thumbnail image.

Hit the OK button when you're done.

Hit the preview button TWICE. This will automatically remove any HTML errors and correct the alignment of the text from center to left alignment. If you're satisfied with the way your populated HTML table looks, click on the REPLY button.

That's it!

Thanks, this looks super useful, looking forward to trying this tomorrow. I bet you could save the code as a Macro, too, so you don't have to create the table each time.

Do you know if there is a way to download the whole grid as an image?

@PacifierCity , I don't think so, but as @ColsCreations suggested, creating macros would be a huge time-saving feature. See @Windy 's tutorial How to Use Macros for specifics.

For myself, I've created two macros
Macro 1 for a 2x2 table
<table border="1" width="100%"><tr> <br></td><td width="50%"> </td> <br></td><td width="50%"> </td> <br><br></td></tr><tr> <br></td><td width="50%"> </td> <br></td><td width="50%"> </td> <br><br><br></td></tr></table>

Macro 2 for a 3x1 table
<table border="1" width="100%"><tr> <br></td><td width="33.333333333333336%"> </td> <br></td><td width="33.333333333333336%"> </td> <br></td><td width="33.333333333333336%"> </td> <br><br><br></td></tr></table>

I've been looking at the discussions in a few places about such a grid but am still wondering what it's used for other than displaying our products in a bunch rather than in a column. Is there another use for it?

This can be super handy for comparing two images. I use tables like this when I send suggestions and bugs to teammates here at Z.

Here on the forums I can see this being handy for sharing a grid of images so that they don't take up quite so much vertical space. We do something similar when you share a collection from zazzle.com.

Just a note to those who use HightonRidley's HTML tool ...

When you place the code Mark provides into the table box as indicated above (nice clear instructions - thanks) the image is made smaller to fit into the box. No need to adjust it down from the super-sized image a simple paste of Mark's code provides.

@PAZP you're welcome! I've created macros for these tables (scroll down a bit further down in this thread for more details) that do away with the need to constantly create new tables.
