Editor's Pick Question

Can Editor's Picks be taken away once given? I had quite a few from designs I created years ago and sold many of them. However I no longer have them on those products. If they are taken away what is the criteria now? Thank you in advance.

I've also had a number of mine taken away. I think they're only guaranteed to last 6 months now. I think it used to be forever but they changed that. I also have no idea what their criteria is for removing the editor's pick status but would love to know why.

I'm sad they no longer last forever. It was always such a fun thing to share with my community — and a great way to know I was doing something Zazzle liked 😉 Hopefully some info will be posted on whether sales or views keep them up longer than 6 months but I'm grateful to you for letting me know it wasn't just happening to me. Thank you 🙂

Actually it has nothing to do with sales and views M. They are picked for using for Zazzle promotions due to trends. So if the design is no longer needed for this they clean them out.

I found out I received an Editor's Pick by chance (looking at my latest public product post in my shop). Does anyone know an easier way for designers to find their Editor's Picks?

Replace the store name in the above URL with your own. Go there.

Click Add Filter and check Special Picks. If Special Picks is not on the list then you don't have any.

Now click the Special Picks filter. This will show Editors' Picks, Zazzle Select, Artisan, Zazzle Heart, and Perfect Gifts when applicable.

In this case it shows Editors' Picks so we know there's at least one product with this designation in your store. Check the option and you get a results page showing just your Editors' Picks.

They definitely used to last longer than this. I had some that were for years and now aren't. So it wasn't about a season or promotion. Maybe they are just focusing on doing them for shorter periods now, but I definitely had some that said that for several years. I am actually sad to see the designation gone from those items.

Usually they send an email. I do know that they are not "evergreen" and only remain as a pick for a specific amount of time. I thought it was 1 year, but can't be sure.

I don't remember the exact details but just before the old forums were retired we were told that EP's are not forever anymore. Supposedly they were never meant to be according to that old thread, but the mod said they had been overlooking the time limit or something to that effect.

Can’t get the first step to work. I put my store name (sweetcreations or sweet_creations), it doesn’t work. I put my account name (chibibi) and all I get is 3 door knobs 😂 Any idea what am I doing wrong?

They've changed how it works since I posted. Now, instead of this format URL
~~https://www.zazzle.com/YourStoreName+gifts~~
which now opens to a "Your search for YourStoreName did not match any products" type page

use this format instead:

https://www.zazzle.com/s/YourStoreName

Note that you use the store name as it appears in the URL to your store (in your case "chibibi") NOT the store name as you've made it in your settings (in your case "Sweet Creations").

And congrats - you have five Editors Picks. 🙂
