250th Anniversary, 250 Years, 4th of July Advertising

Dear Zazzle, _ PLEASE _ begin advertising on the Zazzle landing page for the upcoming 4th of July celebrations. I know many creators who have worked for months building up special collections for this big event.

We only have SIX weeks and a few days for shopping before the week of the 4th.

Thank you for your consideration.

@itsMolly  Thanks so much Molly for your post. Yes, please, Zazzle!! I for one have worked many months on my collections and yes, there are only 51 days left now and we’ll loose the last one or two weeks due to printing and shipping time.

Definitely agree and thanks Molly for your post. .I have created so many products about it since the beginning of the year and despite all my efforts to advertise on socials  on my website and so on, I have so little sales that I ‘m starting to regret all the time spent that I could have used for evergreen stuff. So frustrating…

Check out Google trends. Father’s Day is dwarfing both Fourth of July and the 250th. So Zazzle is right leading with Father’s Day. I personallly think more money will be spent on Zazzle on Father’s Day Gifts than 250th or Fourth of July.

@CrazyMermaid  Hmm. You could be absolutely right here. Thank you for making me look at something from different angles. :raising_hands:t4:

Agree …and a Shop and Save sale on all 4th of July & 250 Anniversary products, early sale would be great.  Customers have been shopping for months and it would give us a chance to sell our product designs before customers say "I have everything I need:

Father’s Day is definitely trending high right now  Google Trends makes that pretty clear. But retail doesn’t move in a single straight line, and customers don’t shop one holiday at a time. Offline stores have had 4th of July out for weeks already, and the big online retailers are running Father’s Day right alongside 4th of July and the 250th. That’s just how seasonal merchandising works.

for me personally, Father’s Day is never a bigger seller.. I sell a few cards, maybe some paper plates, but it’s nothing like Mother’s Day or the big invitation holidays. Father’s Day tends to be casual  family BBQs, backyard get‑togethers, and half the time the “invitation” is just a Facebook post. It’s not really a heavy shopping holiday for décor or coordinated party themes.

But 4th of July is completely different. People shop for t‑shirts, invitations, party supplies, outdoor décor  and with the 250th this year, the interest is even bigger. a lot of my city stores are already wiped out of patriotic items and are moving into summer sunflowers because customers have been buying 4th of July. I sold greeting cards for 250th a couple months ago.

With a homepage as large as Zazzle’s, there’s room to acknowledge more than one season at once. A little mention, a “shop now and save” banner, something that lets early shoppers know those collections are ready and on sale.  it doesn’t take anything away from Father’s Day. For the creators who’ve spent months building those collections could really benefit from that early visibility before shoppers feel like they already have everything they need.

That’s interesting that you sell a lot of this stuff in your store. I do find it interesting to watch the front page and see when Zazzle sells certain items. It’s always fun for me to see what product and styles they think will be popular. Here’s to lots and lots of summer sales!

Sales, unfortunately, have been going badly for a long time,… Sometimes even the diversity of designs and objects does not help,…
Perhaps, for the mutual satisfaction of the earnings, there should be more advertisements and more frequent updates on the site itself,… ? It seems to me that the dynamics have decreased,… ?

You mentioned, “That’s interesting that you sell a lot of this stuff in your store.” Yes  I do sell a lot of stuff from my store. It’s actually not surprising when you look at my categories. I run a holiday, seasonal, and stationery‑focused store

What I find interesting is that you find it interesting that I sell a lot of stuff from my store. My store has always performed well in those categories  you can look at my products and see exactly what I’m selling. It’s a lot of items, and  they’ve sold consistently.

I have zero product interest in seasonal holiday…it’s just not my thing. But I have to believe that Z has a pretty good handle of which holidays generate the most revenue after so many years in the business. If they are promoting a theme or holiday it’s most likely do to the fact that history shows that is what matters most at whatever given time of the year it happens to be. Wish you all big holiday sales

Do you sell a lot of graduation things. I noticed that people were discussing either Father’s Day or the 250th, but graduations seem like giant bashes these days. Even from kindergarden and 8th grade. Not to mention National Honor Society Induction and sports banquets!
