A Bug in Pricing of Some Products

I originally reported this issue probably a year ago or more. It still is there. It’s with the pricing when there is a sale. The original price is listed along with a price below it with a slash through it. The slashed price is only a penny difference from the original price.  At one point in time the issue had been fixed, but it is back again. I always notice it with the Bath Towel Sets. I know there had been other products with this bug, but I don’t remember which ones just now.

@northwestphotos  I may be wrong… but let’s say the price for something is $1.05, and the sale is 50% off.  Zazzle and most retailers will round the sale price up, not down.  So in the $1.05 price example.  Zazzle will charge the customer $0.53 and not $0.52.  Half off would actually be $0.525, but it is not possible to charge someone that amount.  So the price you see is off by a penny because of it.

Prices that end in an even number do not have this issue.  So something that costs $1.98 can be cut in half without rounding up.

Hope that makes sense.

I understand your reasoning, but why even have this showing at all? It’s a bit confusing for those who see it.

Hi @northwestphotos  ,

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. I can replicate this on my end and have flagged this with our Team now ✍️

@northwestphotos  I should have looked at your example.  My explanation does not apply to the error you are seeing… ooops…
