Another Idea > The Weekly Top 6 Sellers Feature for the Home Page > What do you think?

Another idea from Susan…exploring fresh ways to spark visibility and I promise this will be the last one for a while.

I’ve been thinking about how Zazzle used to feature “Top Sellers of the Week” on the homepage, and I wondered what it might look like if that feature came back in a new format.  I have a lot of ideas but they rarely materialize into anything. But this one is good, because gives creators a chance at more visibility

Here’s my idea

Instead of the old setup, it could be reimagined as a Weekly Top Six Sellers. The concept would highlight one creator from each badge tier Basic Pro, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond  based on the best sale of the week within that tier. Each level would compete only against others in the same category, so recognition stays fair and balanced. This kind of showcase could add excitement and momentum to the marketplace. It would give visibility to all tiers, not just the highest‑earning shops, and it would motivate creators at every stage by showing that success is possible at any level.

Customers would also benefit from seeing a wider variety of styles and shops, making the homepage feel fresh and dynamic each week.

The Weekly Top Six could sit at the bottom of the homepage, right after seasonal promotions like the Fourth of July Sale and Christmas in July. Each featured creator could be displayed in a podium‑style box with their badge tier labeled, a ribbon saying “Top Seller of the Week,” and their name clickable to link directly to their shop. That way, the section would celebrate achievement while also encouraging customers to explore new designers.

It’s just an idea, but I think this format would balance fairness, merit, and customer engagement in a way that keeps the homepage lively and inclusive.

I’m all for trying out new ideas to improve designers’ visibility and sales on Zazzle. And if the idea doesn’t pan out or it fizzles out because of lack of interest, that isn’t the end of the road. Not a solution? No big deal. Move on to the next idea/potential solution (that’s what designers do with their shops and inventory). Why not apply the same solution-seeking strategies to Zazzle’s marketplace?  Staying stagnant doesn’t fix anything. Let’s keep the ideas flowing.

I remember when Zazzle highlighted specific stores/designers. I don’t know if that improved their sales, because my shop was never featured. Maybe other designers who were featured on Zazzle can share their results.

I think I would get depressed by seeing some of the top sellers. Meh designs made by those who know how to game the system. I would love it if they highlighted artistic designs by smaller designers who put time into each and every design.
