Apron strap color: No apparent way now to enter a hex color

I’m trying to match my apron strap color to an element in my design, e.g., a border, text, dominant color, etc. There used to be a way to enter in that hex color on the Options page for the apron strap. While there wasn’t an eye dropper, there was at least a numeric box on the Options page for entering the color, if you pasted it from your design.

In the latest design tool, there’s just a slider, which makes it harder to find a match. The slider shows the hex number, but there’s no way – at least, that I can see – to type it in. You can kind of move the slider in a grid pattern while watching the number iterate, but it’s extremely time consuming and hard to hit the exact color.

Maybe I’m overlooking an easier way of using an exact hex color or the strap? Or is this a known omission in the new tool, with a plan to add back an editable hex number box? Many thanks!

I just looked and can’t see how to add a specific strap color either. I usually use a specific custom color.

I hope this isn’t one of those custom choices that will be phased out and then all of my aprons will be magically “discontinued”

I’ll be following this to see what the official word is.

Same maddening thing reported a few days ago for envelope colors - only a slider, can’t enter an exact value anymore. :-1:

Thanks for reporting. This appears to be the same issue as on the envelopes page. Hopefully we an have this resolved very soon. Sorry about the issues here!
