I might have people interested but I don’t want to sell them a pipe dream.
Are affiliates still a option? If so, do they get 15% regardless of the category of items?
Is it wiser for me to promote other people’s work rather than mine? 10% vs 15% Just wondering. I have an old unfinished site with zazzle products that are mine. It is too much work to change links at this point. Would I get the old 15%? I have had some personal issues so way out of touch.
@Mistica And if you promote a tee-shirt of yours as an example you will actually make (slightly) more with your Affiliate ID attached (called Cross promotion) than with your Ambassador link so I my self cherry pick sometimes which link I choose for my own designs. I made $15.13 with Cross promotion and $3.09 with the Ambassador link this month. It’s really hard to make referrals either way but I do promote mine and other creators products on my own site and I will continue to do so.
Thanks Sara. You saved me a lot of time…better spent elsewhere as well as the humiliation of watching well meaning affiliates fail as well as my credibility
Oh… I get it! It’s worse than I thought. The Cross promotion link strips you of your royalty if it is your product. I notice the average royalty these days is 10% so the days of getting your royalty plus the 15% are gone as well.
@Mistica No, they are not gone!! They just aren’t as sweet anymore than they were before April Doomsday. I took you some screen shots since I have them. Of course the numbers are different because I have raised my royalty to 35%.
