Avoiding a dark t-shirt option in Product Merchandising

Hello all,

First time posting here, unable to find this exact question.

I designed a t-shirt product that features black and white line art. I need this to print only on light-colored shirts. 

I clicked the sell button and came to a screen that asks me to make a bunch of choices.

I’m puzzled by the choices in the Product Merchandising section.

I want the shirt to be available on all the light-colored shirts (white, light gray, yellow, pink, light blue, etc.).

Do I have to make a separate product for each of the light colors?

If I choose Vivid Printing only, it seemed to allow printing on black shirts.

If I want to exclude baby styles, does that eliminate the opportunity to pick light t-shirts?

I’d appreciate some specific instructions for the Product Merchandising (clearer than their out of date help text!).

On the “Post Product for Sale Page” about half way down is a CHANGE OPTIONS button with the drop down (you may be referring to this area).

There does not seem to be a Light/Dark only. With Zazzle’s view of the color/shirt style change, the customer should be able to see that a black only print does not show well on a dark shirt.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I’m referring to that section of the form. Does Zazzle offer any way to restrict color choices? I’d rather not have someone order a deep colored shirt and then initiate a return because it looks as bad IRL as it did in the preview. :wink:

This partially answers my question. 

Do I need to create a separate product design for each color? If I select Classic Printing, does that include all of the colors shown, or can the buyer pick other colors (such as black or other colors that won’t work with a black ink design)?

This is my first time using Zazzle for t-shirt sales. On other sites you can upload a design and choose various products (apparel, mugs, handbags, etc.) all from the same design. I don’t see how to do this on Zazzle. It appears you have to pick one product and/or color, and then add a design to that. Is this correct? 

If so, how do I prevent a buyer from choosing a color that won’t work, and then asking for a refund when they see the results?
