Bachelor Party Collection Pulls T-Shirts from Women's T-Shirt Department

Well, I’m in a bit of a quandary as to which marketing department to use for bachelor party t-shirts. The cross-sell collection pulls them from this category:
_ Matching results from: Clothing & Shoes > Women’s Fashion > Clothing > Tops & T-Shirts > Women’s T-Shirts _

Somehow, I don’t think that’s correct. Anyhow, I’m not sure if I should put them under men’s t-shirts or under Bachelor Party Supplies

Any guidance would be appreciated.

@Cat  It is a quandry

If you don’t put them in the slot that your collection is pulling from  - that slot will be forever empty (unless they update it in the coding)

You can still add your shirts to the cross sell and they will be in the Bonus Product section (they’ll still have the cross sell pod underneath)

To fill that slot (to complete your slot quota) you could create a shirt that would target being a woman at a bachelor party “Bachelor Party VIP” or “Calm down boys, the entertainment is here” lol then it would fill that slot

As long as your keywords are good - put them where you think your target audience would look for them (cough 50% MRF for weddings)

Good luck!

Two thoughts: #1 why are you able to use a collection format when mine won’t do it though I selected cross-sell? #2 I’m putting the t-shirts under wedding / . . . Bachelor party decorations and supplies – or something like, which seems to make sense to me.

Anything in a “wedding” category is 50%, regardless of the type of product?

Does that mean all of the products that Zazzle forced into a wedding category that I can’t change is 50% marketing fee?

@MasterpieceCafe  I have no idea but I’d say so - I have a wedding store and get dinged 50% when I make a sale (few and far between these days)

If it’s wedding themed and in the wedding department so g’bye to 50% MRF

I’m not sure about those that they “forced into a wedding category” if you didn’t put it there, but they did - I can’t see you getting dinged for 50 - you’ll have to keep an eye on the reports when you sell it

Change the Event to Bachelor Party and Type to Cross Sell to enable the bachelor party slots

the blank slots are poker chips and tumblers

the glass tumbler slot wants beer steins

the etched drinkware will pull anything in drinkware (mugs)

If you do have access to foil napkins, that slot will disappear once you add a normal paper napkin

we know know that the t-shirt slot want’s women’s shirts and not men’s (thanks to @Cat  )

If your bachelor party cross sell is not showing the pod underneath - try switching event - save - then switch back and wait for a few days until the collection has indexed.

If it won’t save as a cross sell, you may have items in that collection that are from another store.

Cross sells only work with products from one store
