Backend Search doesn't work right

I’ve been having the problem for a while- searching for things that I KNOW I have in my store, and I KNOW I have tags for, don’t show up in my backend. These aren’t new products, either, so it’s not an indexing issue. For example, I have several website cards for my wedding suites. But if I search for “website card,” or even just “website,” I get no results! I have “wedding website card” as a tag, and I know they are on the right paper breakout type. (Weddings> Invitations and Stationery> Enclosure cards.) This doesn’t just happen with wedding products either.

That has been a problem for a long time. I don’t know of any kind of work around. In general, searches on Zazzle leave a lot to be desired. I wish it could be fixed but it has been that way so long, I don’t think it will be.

Hi @Connie  ,

Many thanks for reaching out. I was able to replicate this based on using tag words in the backend search, however when searching using title keywords, results were returned as normal. I have passed this along to our Team to get more information on this, and will update this thread accordingly once I have an update.

Thanks again,

I confirm, backend search doesn’t return all relevant products. It’s been this way for a while, I don’t know for how long, but certainly it is not new.

OMG - I just experienced this today!  Searched for a product I KNOW is there - and it wasn’t found in backend search.  I checked the tags to be sure…and the word I used WAS there, the search simply didn’t find it.

Thank you. Your results are interesting, because on my wedding website cards I DO have Wedding Website in the title as well, but they still don’t show up in the backend search.
