I sat down a bit ago and checked my bell notifications and noticed a sale from 12 hours ago. I thought that was odd because the first thing I check is my earnings page and the number of sales was the same as when I went to bed last night. So I thought I must of had a cancellation. I went to the royalty by product page and the new sale shown in the notification was not listed. I thought that odd as the notification said the sale happened 12 hours ago.
I’ve waited a few hours now and the sale still has not appeared in the royalty earnings nor has the number of sales ticked up on the main earnings page. Perhaps things are just slow today, but after waiting a few hours for it to appear, I figured I’d post about it just in case there is a bigger issue.
@mods, if you want to move this to a tech issue that’s fine. I’m just not sure its a “problem” yet.
I had one of those sale-no-sale situations a couple days ago, and the common suspicion was that, belonging to the Promoter program as I do, someone might have come in on one of my links but bought someone else’s products. It made my sales number tick up by one and I received no benefit from it as is the rule with Promoters. Are you, by any chance, in that program?
According to the way Promoter works, the customer has to buy your product for you to get the referral. Not sure if they buy another of your products instead.
What’s odd and extremely irritating is that, when we lose the sale, we’re told about it anyway by having our count tick up as if we made the sale.
Not being in the Promoter program, I don’t have the pleasure of that frustration…lol.
I went to the store it sold from and filter products by last sold and last viewed and neither have it being bought or viewed in the last three or more days. Strange…
I just checked my notifications and it is still listed there. It was bought overseas, wherever Schnuller id the word for pacifier. This is a weird one for sure. I took a screen shot just to be on the safe side…
The notification is for a sale and it shows a picture of the item sold. So it is definitely my product and it should earn me at least a royalty. But I did look in referrals and its not listed there either. It’s odd for sure. It’s too bad its the weekend and no mod will take a look till at least Monday. But I took a screenshot and as of right now it is still in my notifications. So it should be easy to look into. I’m very curious about this…
Just noting that the sale has not shown up in my sales details anywhere. The sale is still visible as a notification. I would think 24hrs is long enough for it to show up in my sales records.
@Scott@Mark - If one of you, or someone else, could take a look at this it would be appreciated.
I just had the same thing happen to me, and like you, JB, I am not in the Promoter Program.
I am also doing a screencap of the notification for my own records.
I have not heard anything yet form the Zazzle team, but I’ve been pondering this…
The notification is still in my notifications, 3 days old. This item did sell on 7/22. My notifications go back to 7/11 at this point. There is no previous notification for this item. In my notification the word pacifier is replaced with schnuller. That is German for pacifier. The country it sold to on the 22nd does have a large German speaking population.
For people that sell multiples of an item at one time, does that generate multiple notifications, does it only generate 1 that tells you that you sold 2,5,10 etc. items, or does it only show a sale without a quantity mentioned?
Could this notification be tied to the ship date? 10 business days to produce and ship seems a little long to me… but maybe not…idk. I know that the notification is supposed to happen hours after the sale, but since that never happened, maybe for this product there is a hiccup?
Also, if you receive a notification of a sale and it does NOT appear in your Earnings then please let us know. A screenshot will be nice, otherwise just do your best to describe how we can find it in your notifications list. Timestamps are of limited value after awhile because they’ll just how up as “1 day ago” or “1 week ago” which leaves us guessing a bit.
Thanks for the reply. It seems you are confirming my thoughts about this notification being tied to a sale that was over two weeks old… yes?
I would recommend updating how quickly the notifications occur for sales. The announcement I read lead me to believe I could receive an announcement within an hour, but did not say that it may take weeks. Also note that the announcement I received first stated that the sale occured 12 hours ago (at least when I first saw it). That is misleading, since the sale occurred weeks ago.
