I agree with you Cat. I have decided to not make any adjustments or changes on my own and wait for a while, as it’s clear these are technical issues that Zazzle needs to fix and it’s going to take some time. I heard from other designers in another similar thread in “technical issues” that they are having the same problem as me. When they edit the design on the template text box, the design suddenly changes to a longer swash tail.
I just wonder if there is a work around that we can offer clients when we start receiving messages letting us know they can not customize their products correctly. Some clients have timing issues and might need to place their orders now.
That’s a good question. I’m wondering what happens if someone customizes one of these “in flux” products. Will the AutoMagic start making changes to their saved design? Like if a customer has a problem and they send me a share link so I can fix it for them, will the changes all stick? Thoughts to ponder…![]()

If you are one of the unlucky ones where the blooming elegant font change has ruined your design(s)
what can you do about it? Can you select another font yourself or do you have to re-post the designs?
Thanks!
You can edit the design to change it to something you like and then press the Replace Product button. The popularity of the product determines the time it takes to update, ie stuff that’s super popular takes the longest, I guess because someone has to check it over carefully
Does the replace product button appear next to the sell it button? I don’t seem to have access to it yet. Thanks
Hi BeauBotanical, the replace button does not appear until you edit the original design. Go to edit your design, add some text or something so the system thinks you made a change, then click on the “done” button to get back to the product page and now you should be able to see the “replace” button right below the “Edit design” and “sell it” buttons.
Hope this helps ![]()
Thank you very much ! Unfortunately there’s still nothing
. I’ve tried adding new text and images, but after I click done all I’m left with is ‘Edit Design’ or ‘Sell it’. Hopefully the roll out is just slow and hasn’t reached some of us yet…
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that!.. Just a thought, why not add a technical support forum post, letting the technical team know you still don’t have access to the “replace” function and that you need it in order to fix some of the changes caused by the fonts replacements. Maybe this way the will take a look to your particular account and make it available for you.
Good idea, I’ve just done that. Thanks again !
Your welcome, glad to help ! 😄
I MUCH Prefer Dongle!
my 2 cent worth, I think the J in blooming font is ugly !

This may be obvious, but how do i now add the swashes/tails to my font with Morgana? In the past I used the swashes from my blooming elegant font that i had downloaded. How do we add tails to new products using Morgana?
You need a chart of the special characters. Lots of info buried in this thread:
https://community.zazzle.com/t5/create-products/blooming-elegant/td-p/31021
Thank you for the links, I already read those and i I can find. I understand the concept , i have been using blooming elegant swashes that I cut and paste from my font book in my Mac. I downloaded the font. I guess what I was asking is that how everyone gets these charts? Doesn’t someone have download the font and make these charts? And they are sharing the swashes… I was looking for a font with swashes/tails that are universal instead of set letters with swashes. Hope that makes sense. thanks again
Well, what I did was to use a Unicode character chart. https://jrgraphix.net/r/Unicode/E000-F8FF
I copy/pasted each character (the little hollow boxes) one at a time into a separate text box in a Zazzle product to see if there was anything in there for a given font. Both tedious and hit & miss, but it’s the only way I know to see what’s in those characters.
How do you know what each box is? And thank you for the help!
You don’t know what’s in it until you paste it into a text box in the design tool and see what’s there when you change to different fonts. It’s a totally primitive way to do it, but it’s the only one I know of.
There are Unicode chart programs that you can get for your computer where you can see what’s in each character for each different font, but they only work with fonts that you have installed on your system.
This is a different glyph, all fonts are coded differently by designers so there is NO UNIVERSAL swash. So thats where those glyphs are stored in the font map on one font, but it is different on another font and therefore is showing up as regular characters.
I am guessing Blooming Elegant going away was a licensing issue, but this was NOT well thought out. Especially with the sans font that was automatic CAPS lock so a lot of us didn’t both to type the text in CAPS when using it. Since there is no CAPS button in our type tool, this is really a headache. I HOPE THEY PLAN UPDATE THE TYPE FEATURES TO INCLUDE AN ALL CAPS BUTTON. Seems like one of those intuitive things that should have long been coded in.
I am exhausted thinking about going through designs to find how horribly they’ve changed. I like Morgana as a font, BUT I DO NOT LIKE IT IN PLACE OF Blooming Elegant. And again, there is no such thing as universal glyphs. All fonts are coded differently.
There is no such thing as a universal swash/glygh. All fonts are coded by the font designers. They places their swashes and glyphs where they want to in the font map on the backend of the font design in OpenType fonts. Sometimes it works out between two fonts, but often it doesn’t that is why some swashed you are seeing characters instead of matching glyphs. I wish this was understood before this change took place.
I would love to know why they removed Blooming Elegant Family… why not renew whatever licensing was had for the font family. Zazzle makes enough money… and that font was WIDELY used. I
