I am logged in and this is happening on Chrome and Firefox. All I want to do is click on an image and move it or resize it and I don’t want to crop the images. I can’t do it, because it has the symbol change on top of it and every time I click on it, it makes me change the image. Now, I can’t move any images around or resize them at all.
I really hope this is a glitch, because the only way I see a way to get around this, is go and undo all my templates, move or resize the images and then go back and make them templates again. This is so unnecessary and time consuming and maybe it makes sense for the customers, but not for the creators.
Thank you for reporting this, @plumb4me
I’m also seeing this now.
I wish there would be a day I go to Zazzle and there be no new disasters. No such luck.
When logged out I also cannot move the image (erroneously labeled as “crop”)
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing an issue here. Please provide a link to the design and product that is exhibiting the error. We would be happy to take a closer look at this for you.
This is happening on every single product in all 3 of my shops. It looks like something Zazzle has implemented in the design area.
If you go to the images on the right side, you can click on an image and then you can only change the image, remove the background and crop the image. I don’t want to do any of these things.
When you click on an image, you can’t resize it or move it, you can only change the image.
All I want to do is line up my images and I can’t even do that.
It seems the change image symbol is gone. I will keep checking through this weekend to see if it stays that way and the issue is resolved. @Padraig Thank you
I am having the same problem this morning. I can’t click on images to move the images or resize the images. I can only crop or change the images, which is NOT what I am trying to do.
I am having the same problem this morning. I can’t click on images to move the images or resize the images. I can only crop or change the images, which is NOT what I am trying to do. This is happening on all of my images, on all of my products.
And when you click the image you get ONE bounding box where you can intuitively drag the handles to re-size the image or CTRL + drag to crop it with still just the ONE bounding box. It’s only if you click the little Crop icon that you get the double bounding boxes. (The outer one lets you resize the image and move it around, the inner one lets you set the area you want to keep.) I was never able to get the hang of it when they combined crop & resize into one tool, so this is fantastic. I haven’t been very active lately so don’t know when they changed it again, but thankyou, this is so much simpler like it should be and even the double-bounding boxes when you intentionally click the Crop icon are more intuitive. 👍
I am also having the same problem on smaller images on the item (pedestal sign). But I am also having the opposite problem. I’m trying to work on a photo background wine label and the ‘change image’ is so dang sensitive I’ve accidentally hit it 8 times. Even if I try to grab text, it uses the entire image as a ‘change image’ option and constantly hits it instead of what I’m trying to click on. I don’t remember this ever happening before. It’s incredibly frustrating to work like this. I would imagine a customer is going to be as well.
In a strange turn of events, on the pedestal sign, once I replace the photos, I can move them around. It’s as if the design tool is treating my own design as if I was a customer.
This is all messed up. Even touching the image makes the media basket pop up and if you don’t change the image, you still can’t move or resize the image.
I wish Zazzle would take this away, because this is way too confusing. I wonder if customers and creators have the same problem?
Is anyone at Zazzle going to address this issue and give us some answers? Is this a bug or is it expected behavior?
Why does Zazzle keep making it harder to use the new design tool? The “change image symbol” is so difficult to get around. The only workaround is to change the image, then move or resize the image and then add the old image back. Why are there so many more steps? I feel like all I do is click, click, click over and over just to make a simple collage.
@Anne it could be that your images layer is in a group but don’t really know for sure. I added some images and was able to move it by double clicking the image that I replaced
I couldn’t get to the section where I accidentally pressed the up arrow and moved the whole photo template behind the text and as it’s locked (as a group) I got stuck
@plumb4me to rearrange the images - click on the layers not the images on the artboard and by selecting the layers you want to move - (shift click more than one layer) then go to alignment tab and arrange them however you like
Thank you for the help, but I only want to move or resize 1 image at a time. It used to be where you could just click on 1 image, move it, resize or delete it one at a time. If I click on 1 image in the layers, it still will not let me move or resize it, it will only let me change the image, remove the background or crop the image.
Now, I have to change the image, then move it or resize it, then change it back to the image I wanted there in the first place.
