Hello! Not too new here and I have come to the conclusion that categories are not easy for me. Is there a chance to update the old instructions? I am viewing the page with a desktop iMac.
When I attempt to move items from one category to another, or organise/manage my categories, there are all sort of problems.
Go to your Public Products page, click on “All Categories” in the left-hand navigation, and click on “Add new category” under the “Store Categories” title.’
This is all clear but in my page I can see nothing called All categories. And the word Categories is not clickable.
Surely in the shop management page there should be an option that when I select a number of items I can move them to a category? But for some reason some end up in Collections and this is not the same.
Several members kindly tried to help me but while they can see ALL Categories, I do not!
It seems that you do not show your CATEGORIES on your home page (set up under store SETTINGS/advanced settings).
Open your PRODUCTS tab. On the left, under the Zazzle DEPARTMENT list, and above Your CATEGORIES list is a section showing ALL PRODUCTS, FEATURED PRODUCTS, ALL CATEGORIES. Click on ALL CATEGORIES and the blue ADD CATEGORY will be at the top of the page beneath your tabs.
Thank you! Unfortunately I do not see anything called DEPARTMENT, I don’t see a list of departments, categories cannot be added in the advanced settings either as there is nothing about them. I am starting to think that my co.uk store looks different from the .com store?
Hi @franz you are not in your store management area - this is your profile. Click on the stores tab and then click on your store - that’s where are the categories are
Thank you so much Sarah! Finally worked out why I could not see what everyone said! Oh dear, oh dear! Just added my new categories…and now off to delete the old ones! Very grateful for your patience and help!
