Category Products Are Back -- Sort of

Just wanted to give the guys who work on the software a heads up that the products in my category that were missing have now come back and are showing on the back side of the store in the management area.  BUT…

For the public, only a partial bit of the products are back.  There are 827 products in all (according to the backside). But, for the public only 4 pages  of products are showing up.  So there’s still a lot more that needs to be made visible to the public.

Same for me. I expect it’ll take a couple of days for them to flow through to the front end.

Would love to know what happened. Server went down and someone restored the wrong back-up?

I’m wondering if a software engineer confused “category” with “collections”?  Remember they were trying to promote some sort of collections re-organizing a few weeks ago. And, somehow the new code or algorithms affected the categories area.
