Zazzle Paper offers gift tags set of 10, 120 lb weight, with hole punched and choice of twine colors, size 2 x 3.5. Altering the size could make them usable as bookmarks. But, since it is a set of 10, the templated text would be the same on all 10. Same for any quote text either by a shop or customer. Changing the size could adapt them into a new product offering.

I do wish we had some nice bookmarks, too! A few years ago, I made up some on 5x7 cards and with the choice of papers, I have been very happy with them. Just have to cut them out.
2LakeEffects - that’s a clever idea. There can’t be much competition for a product that doesn’t actually exist as such, so pretty niche!
I did see that there are some smaller cards labelled by designers as “bookmarks”, although being just 3" high I can’t see them being quite so practical. Example: https://www.zazzle.com/i_love_books_bookmark_mini_business_card-240063742111311759
Would be a good product to add.
I also have made “bookmarks” from the small business card (3x1 inch). The size does not bother me. Unfortunately these only come as 100/pack. I read a lot, but not 100 books at the same time. Possibly good for a teacher/librarian or a business promotion (book store?).
I seem to remember that at one time we had Bookmarks (with tassel). They don’t seem to be there now.

@NigelSutherland - thanks. I should add that this size is perfect for text books, coffee table books and the larger paper backs. The textured paper is really nice. I personally don’t care for things hanging off of my bookmarks, so ribbons and doodads aren’t for me.
