Change to Swap Designs row of products

Swap Designs itself is a huge negative for designers in my opinion.

I don’t recall the first “slot” in the Swap Designs row being a Create Your Own. I could be mistaken, but I thought it was a row of similar products from other stores. And, the Create your own from scratch option – is still beside our product description, only a few scrolls down.

I just deleted about three paragraphs of gripe. :zipper_mouth_face: Do let me know if I am wrong, and this is nothing new.

I’m with you, Molly. The Swap Designs row feels like Zazzle is telling the customer, “Don’t buy the product you chose here, “swap” to someone else’s.” That’s how it comes across, especially when the first slot isn’t even ours.
After bringing the customer in through our own promoting, it’s discouraging to see Zazzle immediately redirect them to other designers. I think this is a big part of why so many of us are seeing sales drop. The swap is new , well about 2 weeks and it’s a big negative.

Swap Design doesn’t really make sense.

Other Designs You Might Like at least made sense. You could understand that these were other options that the system thinks you could also be interested in.

But Swap Design? Change it? Trade it?

It feels like a solution searching for a problem.

I am pricing and editing all my old greeting cards. I just noticed this. With the Create Your Own (blank card) showing right there under my card for sale in the Swap Designs, customers see my markup with a quick glance.

Zazzle, please remove this duplicate Create Your Own from the row of Swap Designs. As it is, it’s already at the side of my Product Description.

Thank you.

Exactly! I really don’t like how Zazzle is trying to deviate the customers, even after by chance they choose our design ! First that ‘templates’ in design tool and now this ‘swap design’ row … not done! Zazzle is no more caring for creators :frowning:

When I see “create your own” or that swap‑out row sitting right under my product, it honestly feels like the same pattern we’ve all been noticing. Creators bring the traffic, we do the promoting, we get the customer onto the page and then Zazzle funnels that customer toward whatever earns them the most predictable revenue.

At this point the editor almost behaves like: “Thanks for bringing the customer… we’ll take it from here.”

It’s discouraging, because it makes me question why I should keep promoting when I’m already paying up to 50% marketing fees. For what we’re charged, the level of redirection is really excessive. Overall, it’s getting to the point where the time, effort, and energy it takes to promote my products doesn’t feel worth it when the platform keeps steering customers away the moment they arrive

Thank you Zazzle, if you see this. I noticed the change.

This is a terrible idea, selling out the very designers that helped build the platform
