The recent changes in descriptive details of these items lends to confusion and are possibly even misleading?
Despite the fact that the 300gsm cardstock (not paper) used to make semi-gloss postcards, sheets, and flat cards is the same for all three products, the semi-gloss sheets by contrast are referred to as “budget paper.”
A suggestion - is it possible re the Google ads, to show the unit price when ordering 100?
As it is the Google ads when they are properly cached etc (whatever the reason is some are still showing old price) will nolonger reflect a competitive budget price the marketplace.
I developed the ‘budget range’ because the couples on my budget wedding group did not regard Zazzle a place to shop for budget invites. That view has since changed … and Zazzle has embraced the budget range now offering it as a front page option. This needs further consideration.
Hi, I never got a response on this, but it is starting to create an issue. Customers are messaging about the ‘budget paper’ option which is the semi-gloss sheet. What Zazzle is describing as a ‘budget paper’ is in fact card, the SAME card as for the semi-gloss invitations as shown in the opening post. How am I to explain to clients when they ask for a better card type, that the alternative is identical, more expensive and just a slight difference in size?
Hi Leah @CreativeLeahG I ordered samples of the various card types a year or so ago including these ones. Unless anything has changed since then, there IS a difference in the semi-gloss paper stock used for each. The semi-gloss budget card is more glossy than the semi-gloss 7x5 invitation which has a smoother finish. Because of that, the printing appears more muted on the more expensive option (in this particular design anyway) Here’s an image of the two side by side to show the difference in size and printed colors although you can’t actually tell from the pic the difference in shine:
The 5x7, in my opinion, and when you put the two together, has a slightly more expensive look and feel, so I am guessing it is a more expensive stock hence the difference in price. However having said that, I think the budget ones are fantastic quality for the price and great value for money. I was very impressed with them and of course noone would be any the wiser unless they had the two side by side. Hoping this helps.
Quick amendment to my post above … I just checked my order history and on the 5x7 version I’d added a filter to the graphic hence explains the difference in color. Apologies - I’d forgotten I’d done this and it suddenly occurred to me!
