I LOVE the new back-end products page with the adjustable width. My only complaint is that it only shows an abbreviated title. In the old version you could at least hover over the title to see the complete text.
This is problematic for a number of reasons - mostly because I try very hard to ensure that all of my titles are unique, and now in order to check the title of a product to be sure I’m not creating a duplicate, I have to either open the individual product page or the details popup in order to see the title. It would be really helpful if we could see the whole title, and I wouldn’t mind if it wrapped to another line. It would be even better if the title could include the auto-appended text so we can easily tell which product it is! Comes in handy when you’ve got the same artwork on different products (cards, postcards, magnetic cards, stickers, etc.)
Just an FYI, I use Safari Version 15.2 (17612.3.6.1.6) and in the management area when I hover over the title it shows the entire title (includes the product).
@PAZP Thanks! You mean the URL in the bottom of the screen? Shelli pointed out the same thing on another thread - for some reason I never noticed it before. Guess I’m one of those people who stubbornly look where I want the thing to be instead of seeing the whole screen! Anyhow, I’ll use that trick for the moment, but I’d still love it if the whole title was available without doing anything!
@Cat No not the URL I see the actual full Title when I hover over the title of the product in the management area. At least now I can see all the title errors where part of the product is showing (ie. …My New bus Business Card).
@PAZP Interesting! That’s how it used to work in Windows as well, but it no longer functions. Perhaps it’s a bug with the new back end. Anyhow, I’m using Windows 10/Edge.
@PAZP it’s not showing up for me either in Firefox.
I guess I didn’t notice the “full title on hover” was missing, because I usually just look at the bottom left corner of the screen where the URL is. Overall, I like the new look!
Anyhow, I’ll use that trick for the moment, but I’d still love it if the whole title was available without doing anything!
