I have noticed that Zazzle is not showing cover photos of any of its products in search results. Has Zazzle discontinued this feature, or is there a technical issue? Has anyone else also noticed it?
Hmmm, interesting. I noticed that the cover image does show up when you hover over the product image so they haven’t completely eliminated them. Who knows, might just be a technical issue that will have resolved itself by tomorrow. Or not.
I didn’t notice until you pointed it out. I hope that this is a technical glitch, because I’ve spent a lot of time on creating cover photos.
Concerning as too have spend far too many hours on cover photos… Hopefully just a glitch?
Not only are cover images messed up - there are products missing from the marketplace all together, including many top sellers
Check if yours are missing.
It seems to be happening on and off. I did several searches while browsing in incognito mode, closing the browser after each test, and the cover photos would occasionally appear!
I noticed that, on the desktop, cover photos for tree skirts are NOT being displayed as the main image in the marketplace. On mobile, they ARE being displayed.
So this is reassuring to me because it indicates a technical glitch rather than having cover photos intentionally removed.
This has to be a technical glitch. I am seeing all expected cover photos in the MP. This is desktop and they show for me in both Chrome and Microsoft Explorer. Could be they resolved it already or maybe it’s a glitch that isn’t global.
I noticed yesterday that my cover photos were gone, I did see others though. I’m wondering if they aren’t showing for the creator? Which is weird, but it’s what first came to mind.
To be fair I rarely check, so mine could have been gone for months. They are still chosen in my backend.
Not resolved. I just checked on my iphone.
mine just loaded and disappeared and could not load, with a cover photo, to Pinterest – so there is an issue.
Wondering if this is a glitch resulting from the new paper changes that were announced. They mentioned that some cover images would be removed.
How strange. I’m using Windows 11 and Edge browser and I’m seeing all the cover photos like usual (on both my own and other people’s products.) Here’s a search for “wedding invitations.”
What I have noticed is that if I choose a different colorway than the default, the link will open with a bunch of parameters making it default to one of the standard views instead of the cover. Like for example, this invite defaults to black in the search results, and the cover is displayed.
But if I choose burgundy and open the link, I get a default view, even though there is a cover for the burgundy version:
And here’s what the URL looks like:
Check the URL to be sure that there aren’t any weird parameters when you’re posting to Pinterest.
I noticed there was a slight change when uploading a new cover image this morning. Instead of the image going directly to your uploaded media, it first displays an image cropper so you can immediately crop if needed. No doubt the tweaking they’re doing behind the scenes is what’s causing all the glitches we’re seeing in cover photos.
I think it’s always done that if you upload something bigger than 1480x1480 - or maybe it happens if it isn’t square? Not sure, but I know I’ve seen that behavior in the past.
Oh, thanks @Cat I never noticed that before. You’re right, it happens when they’re not square. 99.9% of mine are square so I didn’t pick up on that. But, now that I know, I think I’ll make them un-square on purpose so I can get to the crop function without that extra click .. lol.
i reported missing products several weeks ago, still not resolved.
I’ve noticed this recently too. Also, when you browse products in their ‘Category’ window, a similar thing happens when you hover over a product that’s color ‘grouped’. The product you’re currently hovering over retains its original cover image, while all the other related products shift to a default Zazzle view. It’s a bit strange the way they all suddenly change!
