I have recently experienced an issue where clicking a specific element in the design tool immediately closes the design tool and returns me to the product page. It happens every time I click on that element. Clicking on other elements doesn’t close the design tool. Replacing the affected design element and deleting the original one is the only way to fix the problem.
Now I have a related issue where clicking the ‘edit this design’ button on some products briefly shows the loading screen and then returns me to the product page without opening the design tool. If I then try clicking the ‘edit this design’ (or ‘edit using the design tool’) button again, nothing happens. Refreshing the page and transferring the design to a new product doesn’t eliminate the issue. This means I have no way of editing the design.
I’m using Chrome on PC. I don’t think it’s an extension because it doesn’t happen on all products, but I’ll try disabling all of them and see if that resolves the issue. Thanks, Sara!
Could we please have more information, such as an example product that you use to reproduce the issue? Does this issue occur when clicking on any object, or do some objects work while others return to the PDP?
Hi Scott, I haven’t had any feedback and I now have a second product that I can’t open in the design tool. I emailed details to James, but just wanted to let you know as well.
If anyone else encounters this issue, I will post the solution if it’s resolved.
I actually had this issue happen yesterday as well. It was on an invitation. It let me edit the product originally, then all of a sudden it would not click on ‘edit this product’, but I could hit ‘sell it’. It did not do anything at all when I clicked on the edit button, no loading or anything. I did have another a few days ago now that I think of it that got stuck on the ‘loading’ window… but I can’t remember what that one was.
