Do International Zazzle Creators receive a referral earnings tax form as well?

Would I receive a separate tax form from Zazzle for referral earnings?

Or are referral and royalty earnings lumped together on the 1042-S form that I normally get in March?

Nothing separate that I’ve received.

@CreativeLeahG  thanks, Leah! 💐

@WHS_Designs  I received 2 a few days ago – 1 for royalties & 1 for referrals.

This is odd? Did you complete two different w-8BEN forms?

@CreativeLeahG  I think Marcia is based on the U.S., so that’s why she gets two tax slips.

I needed to see if us non-U.S. based Zazzlers got one or two slips like our American counterparts did. It does sound like just 1 for us.

Hey @WHS_Designs ,

I checked in with the team on this one and they advised:

Referrals are reported on 1042-s forms but the requirements to report these are $600 USD in referrals

Thank you!

I had to consult BARD GOOGLE to understand what the above means for UK Creators , Bard says:

"

In your situation as a UK creator, the sentence “Referrals are reported on 1042-s forms but the requirements to report these are $600 USD in referrals” doesn’t directly apply due to different tax regulations and forms. Here’s what matters for you:

W-8BEN Form and UK Creators:

  • You need to complete a  W-8BEN form  to declare your UK residency and claim treaty benefits with the US. This reduces the tax withholding rate on your Zazzle earnings from 30% to 0%.
  • Regardless of your referral earnings amount , you must submit a W-8BEN form if you earn any income from Zazzle, including royalties and referrals.

Reporting for UK Creators:

  • Zazzle  won’t issue you a 1042-S form  as this applies to US tax reporting.
  • You are  responsible for reporting all your Zazzle income , including referrals, on your  UK tax return.
  • The amount you earned (regardless of whether it’s above $600) doesn’t impact your obligation to report it.

Is this correct? Thanks

Hey @CreativeLeahG ,

I will check with the team now!
