Sometimes mockups don’t represent the product accurately, colours and size. Thats why I am asking do you think mockups are hurting sales or helping with the sales?
I created a lot of mockups for my products and noticed the colours difference sometimes, I wonder what the customer will think. And would like to hear your opinion, what kind of mockups that we create are helpful and what kind are not? I sold products with both mockup and not.
PS. I meant product appearance not size of the product.
I think the answer is sometimes they help with sales and sometimes they don’t. It’s important to only use mockups that depict the product accurately. Otherwise, that’s deceptive to customers.
Another practice that hinders sales is creating mock-ups with complex backgrounds that keep customers from focusing only on the product. And the use of AI has increased the presence of overly complex and overly designed cover photos. That is probably why Zazzle is doing an A/B test on using cover photos or not showing them to see which group results in better sales.
@Jadendreamer13 It’s very important to represent the product accurately, it says a lot about the integrity of the store and I am glad I noticed this difference, so I for now skipping mockups for all products and choose them cautiously. Thank you for your input and opinion on this I wondered what people think about that. Can you tell me more about this test that Zazzle is having please, I haven’t heard about it yet.
They only briefly mentioned it in a thread I posted a few days ago wondering why cover images were not showing for some products. That’s all I know.
@Jadendreamer13 I think it may be because someone deleted the mockup, I sure done that and noticed the same. I’ve done that when I changed my mind about the mockup for the reasons I mentioned, that’s my guess.
