Does it happen to you when you don’t know what to design? And what do you do in that case? Don’t design at all, design a few things? Go through old products and tweak them? That’s what I do. Where do you get your inspiration from to design beside obvious finances and where do you get an idea from what to design? I get inspiration from things around us, from what people wear.

I am running out of ideas no matter what I design nobody is buying anything no matter how pretty it is. That’s why I asked.

@Veselka_Store It’s slow right now for many different reasons. I was expecting May to be busy for me because I had created lots of designs for the United States Semiquincentennial but I only had nine sales this month so nothing is flying off the shelves in my store. Don’t take it personally. And if you don’t feel creative one day just step away until those creative juices are flowing again - that’s what I do. Hang in there!!

Thank you @MOM for your support I really appreciate it, May was the slowest month for me like for you, I made even less sales than you did, it does feel discouraging, I love it when people appreciate what I designed that’s how I look at the sales, someone tells me you did alright and I like it, it makes me happy. You are right gotta wait for the creative juices to be flowing to continue. You too friend hang in there, I love what you do and your store looks really cool, I am a fan

@Veselka_Store Well, maybe I need to add a correction to my previous reply. I haven’t calculated May yet (because it’s not quite over yet) but May 2026 has (possibly?) been my strongest month ever since I‘m on Zazzle. I will know for sure by the end of this month. But I have been working towards the US milestone for over half a year that I really did expect a bigger return for my efforts. I‘m thinking now that I would have been better off just doing my usual thing which is slowly increasing my inventory. I knew from the get go that the items for the 250th anniversary would be mostly „throwaway items“ once the event has passed but I was hoping that the momentum would carry me a bit further than it actually does. And yes, I‘m a bit disappointed by Zazzle as well that they haven’t even put a tiny banner onto the home page directing possible buyers to those items dedicated to the US celebration. It’s all a bit sobering to me. The current economy, the problems we are having in what ever direction you might look and so on. But with that being said I‘m not giving up (yet). Doing the „Zazzle thing“ has been rewarding to me because I have learned a lot. Will I continue next year? I don’t know that yet - I first have to see how it will go with the rest of the year.
And thank you for your kind words. I’m also a fan of yours. I can’t believe you design what you create all on your phone!! That just leaves me speechless.

@MOM I am sorry about that happening. It’s quite sobering I agree with you. I am going to check out your America Celebration products and share them on my X page would you like that :), would take be ok? Do you have X and Pinterest? That’s something to think about. I already joined you today on Instagram and Facebook with my personal account. I wrote a Blogger where I can write a post about your page too. Thank you for the kind words friend, I enjoy designing even if it is on my iPhone wish somebody would buy it though ha ha I don’t want to lower my royalty again in order for that to happen

You give good advice and I do that too. I also keep my eyes on things and people around me in the street and in the shops. I really wish I had more time to actually do my designs. And to both of you @Veselka_Store and @MOM I have to thank you for all your encouragement along the way even though I don’t message on here a lot. I do however browse here everyday to keep up with things. I have made exactly one sale in all the time my shop has been open and its because someone awesome took the time to promote it and I will forever be grateful to whoever it was because it was the best feeling ever.
