it would be very nice (and powerful) if we had the ability to change the order (via drag and drop) tags in the backend.
Right now, if I want to delete the first tag and replace it with another one in that same position, I would have to
(1) view the tags as text
(2) select the tags
(3) copy the tags to the clipboard
(4) remove all the tags
(5) enter the new first tag, and
(6) then paste the other tags.

Recently I suggested something similar- the ability to edit individual tags without jumping through all the hoops you just mentioned. For example, if I have a wedding invitation and then use the same design for a bridal shower, it would be handy to be able to change the first tag from wedding to bridal shower. Even if technically the order of the tags doesn’t matter for search, they matter to my orderly brain, LOL! And there are different schools of thought regarding the order of tags, also.
