I started thinking about the new process this morning and realized when someone new comes from our link, and they don’t have any account whatsoever, would our cookie stand, even though they haven’t signed up through Zazzle before? In other words, does Zazzle override our cookie with theirs because they have to go through the process of signing up first? Or, does our cookie still remain and we get the self referral credit?
@LauraLee Our cookie remains and we get the self referral credit. I know of one example past April 1st to be able to post this answer here.

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to determine if it’s been a new, new customer. In regards to someone who’s never been to Z before. But, if you know your customer was a never before customer, I’m so glad to hear it’s working as they say. I was always under the assumption that Z gets our 1st referral, because they’d go through processing as a new account, then they’d get this discount code. It used to be you could almost tell how they’d cancel the order, and then go back and you’d see the discount after purchasing. And that scenario was still running in my head.

@LauraLee And I’m positive this is actually happening a lot of times too. The good thing is only that not every customer will go so far to cancel an order to save some, I do believe many will perhaps use the rebate with a next order.
