I’ve noticed something in the community feed lately and came up with a solution that might help everyone. For the last week I have been reading comments by creators who say Show me needs to be hidden from my feed, and honestly, I had no idea why they were saying this …until today. When I open the topics at the community, the first thing I see is a long list of Show Me activity. I use Show Me myself and appreciate the extra visibility it gives new products, but I also enjoy reading discussions, questions, feedback, and other creator topics.
Today my feed was almost entirely Show Me posts, and I had to scroll to find the discussion threads I was looking for. It made me realize why some creators have mentioned wanting more separation between Show Me and the other categories.
A solution that might help: What if creators could choose the top 2–3 categories they want to see first in their feed? Similar to how a browser homepage lets you pick your preferred topics, the community could let us select Discussions, Questions, Feedback, Official Z Announcements, etc. The Show Me posts could still appear, just underneath the categories each creator chooses as their priority.
This would let everyone customize their experience without removing anything or blocking any features. Those who rely on Show Me for views would still have it, and those who come for discussions could find them more easily in their topic feed.
When you add anything as a reply ie adding to a show me post - the forum software auto defaults to “Tracking” as in you want to see when anyone else replies to that thread. (if you have that set up in your preferences)
You can turn this off if you no longer want to be alerted when anyone else adds their reply or leave it on to be alerted so you can a read of whatever is happening.
In preferences, under Tracking - you can globally turn it off or on when posting
Oh wow @Sara_H your post is so helpful, I had no idea that this was an option and honestly would have never found the topic list had you not shared the screenshots. Agree this new community is a huge learning curve. Thank you for commenting. ? one of the topics was create new products and collection and wonder is that for store or does it only pertain to the community ?
