I’m having problems with the previews when the foil color is set to silver on a dark background. The preview for this design looks fine with gold foil but not with silver - any advice on how we should handle this? I’m assuming that the silver is rendered this way so it will show up on a white background - wondering if we could maybe get an option in the preview pane for one that’s rendered for a dark background?

And… could the “About this Product” section include some information about the weight/thickness of the paper? That’s one of the most common questions I receive.
Minimum order of 10 doesn’t make this good for Valentine’s day or any personalized cards. As an experiment I tried Valentine’s Day card, but I will delete it after I saw there is a minimum order of ten. Also when I try to add a no-foil image on the front, it is distorted. It is stretched horizontally and looks awful. Think I will pass on making these.
Love the new foil cards! The preview with the silver foil looks off on my designs too @Cat
hope they can fix that…
Most of my designs don’t make good foil cards anyway. They seem to work best with simple line drawings. What I do have that would work are not good for invitations or holidays. The new cards don’t seem to be showing up when I search for a blank product either. In fact, I have not been able to find just a 5 by 7 greeting card that way either.
I love these new cards, and I am enjoying designing for them! I especially like having the gold with a regular color printed background.

I agree with the comments above however, the previews for silver and rosegold not so good, hence I am avoiding those options for now.

The gold on black is very effective.

I finally got one made that I kind of like. I don’t think they will ever be one of my favorite cards to make.

You did a very good job, I like the way the flowers sit above the gold foil.
It looks absolutely lovely but I’m missing the “how to make it happen”. It obviously has to be the special card and it needs to be an svg file – but how do you marry those two facts to come out with changing it into the foil?
I figured it out . . . more or less. Very interesting effects!!
I’ve been waiting FOREVER for this! I have one request, please. Would it be possible to allow us as CREATORS to order 1 single sample card? I have a design that I wanted to post that looks fine on screen, but I’m worried that the rose gold foil text won’t show up well against the background in real life.
Good idea! I also would love to order samples of my designs for marketing purposes.
TRY IT WITH A DARKER BACKGROUND.
That was completely by accident. The heart and flowers are originally a dusty rose. When I tried to foil it, the flowers came through as almost transparent. So I tried putting the original colored image behind the foil image. The color of the flowers showed through and the heart came out foiled. Just a happy little accident that worked.
Look at my reply to Creativedesigns. The effect was completely unplanned. It was not an svg file, it was a png file.
I really don’t care for dark backgrounds. I tried a dark background on a different foil card and it seemed like the only thing that really worked was navy blue, black or red. I know a customer might like it that way, but I don’t like putting a design that I don’t like.
Hi James, I’m really learning how to do this – question though – are you aware that the standard message comes up when the gold foil card is viewed saying that the glitter isn’t real, etc etc. which it normally isn’t . . here is a link to show you: https://www.zazzle.com/fifty_fabulous_birthday_black_real_gold_foil_invitation-256165640288653384
I retract – it is only coming up on products where I do have additional items that are glitter that will not print . .. learning is sooooooooo hard . . .
Success at last – two versions – one very simple – but the foil really makes it stand out and the 2nd quite “busy” and the foil still really makes a difference.
