Feedback for new product: oven mitt and pot holder set

Hi Creators,

Have you seen the latest addition to the marketplace? An Oven mitt and pot holder set. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Check them out here and let us know what you think!

Love these! Seeing as they are hanging (and you see an insitu of them hanging) could the first lot of images have the tag at the top?

Otherwise all my designs have to be upside down :joy::rofl::joy:

Thanks!

edited to add - there’s a pixel missing in one of the previews (top one from design tool)

(unless there is muck on my monitor) - can anyone else see it on theirs?

I’m a little confused about how to present these.  Most of the thumbnail pictures are with the hand facing up, which would mean text is right side up.  One picture shows it hanging from the loop, but then the text would need to be upside down.  I like these, but I’m not sure how to design the text, right side up, or upside down.

I do not see any measurements on these. In the video announcement, it looked like there were two sizes of each (mitt and pot holder). One mitt looked too large, the other too small.

I’m glad to see these offered, especially so near summertime cookouts.

Thankyou. Totally missed the link in the Creator News post. Now I am wondering who is Alex Offermann and why is this review an unlisted vid on his account and not the official Zazzle YT account?

Anyway, as @BKMuir said, it does look like there are two different mitt sizes in the vid. The ones in the back look much shorter and also have a flatter top, not as rounded over as the ones in the front. I don’t see the speck @Sara_H saw.

Love that these are AOP, eager to make some sets now along with coordinated aprons.

@ColsCreations  I only see it when I’m in the design tool then hit the preview button at the bottom and it shows up for me on the first preview. Reckon I need to get my duster out (or a new monitor 😂)

These are really nice! I wish the pot holder had different color options for the edge. Great addition to the kitchen items!

Delighted to see these. But have same issue and question!

I’m not seeing anything about washability, are they washable?

I would like to know this as well1

In the description, it says “No-slip silicon part for a stable and safe grip” for the mitt and then also for the potholder. It should be “silicone.”

I love these, thanks.

I would like to be able to just offer the pot holder only with some designs, but it shows the option of adding the design to the oven mitt as well, which looks really bad. Hoping no one would even try to buy the set, but I’d prefer to have it just show the pot holder alone.

Also, the insitu “hanging” picture background color doesn’t work with too many designs. And the hangers are kinda clunky. just sayin.

@pencilcat   You can design the glove or the pot holder as individual items and post by themselves.

I came here for the same reason. The majority of the mock ups are upside down. So if we designed it correctly, the marketing photos would all look odd.

@pencilcat  to only offer just the pot holder -> edit details -> product merchandising -> “sell this design on” drop-down - select : This set only - click done to save

if you only want to offer a particular backing (eg just silver padding or black) select 'This Style Only"

To edit which backing heat protection you want to offer “Manage Options” then select

click done to save

Thank you both. I did all that. It doesn’t work. When I click on the product on the sell page, even though the “potholder only” option is selected, it still shows all the options and says “set or singles”. It leaves the mitt alone option blank, but automatically places the potholder design on the “Set” option.

So I thought “well, I’ll make lemonade out of this” and actually design a workable, but not ideal, option for the oven mitt, since it’s gonna show anyway. So I did this:

Then I published it. But when I clicked on this newly revised design, it still defaults back to the original ‘one image’ on the potholder design, placed awkwardly on the mitt. So I give up.

Thankfully I do have a bunch of repeat design patterns that work well for the sets, but you know how you get sometimes trying to make the ones that won’t cooperate work! I have several of these ‘potholder only’ designs that I’m obsessing over, so I need to chill.

Thank you Zazzle, these are a great gift addition!.. I have some feedback: I have noticed that “white” colors look washed out on Zazzle’s first two “front” images, as opposed to the last two images that show a brighter white. I hope white colors in real life look the same as the white on Zazzle’s aprons, and not with this washed-out ivory color, as some customers might like to gift them as a set.

It would be a good idea to have all Zazzle’s images showing the same white tone consistently in all their images, so they don’t cause confusion with customers as they will be wondering what they look like, will they be like the first two front images or the last two?
