I’d love to see flameless candles return but updated for how people actually use them today. A modern set with a timer and remote control, sold as a 3‑size trio and also as votives, would be a hit. People just don’t light real candles anymore.
I looked around my own home today and counted 10 flameless candles (the kind with the natural‑looking wick) plus 12 remote‑controlled votives. That remote is a huge selling feature everyone I know uses it.
Many people decorate their entire homes with flameless candles because the benefits are endless: safe, cozy, and energy‑efficient. One of my neighbors told me she’s actually saving on her utility bill because she uses flameless candles at night instead of lamps. Her home has the warmest ambiance, and she said she never turns on a light, just the TV.
A remote is a must, and a timer is even better. Bringing these back with updated features would fit perfectly with how customers use home décor today.
Great idea, @Susang6 !. I used to sell a lot of the flameless candles; the wax ones, not so much. A set of three with coordinated designs would be great. But, I’m sure votives would sell especially well for me!
Me too I sold the flameless candles I think most of us did. The wraps were perfect for occasions, seasons, and holidays… instant decoration with zero effort.
The wax ones? I still have a few in my store and I think I sold maybe two. The fragrant jar candles did better for me I even bought one as a gift, and my MIL (who regifts everything) actually kept it and loved it.
Today I went out locally looking for the remote‑controlled ones with the natural-looking wick (in orange), but I needed a dozen. No luck. Now I’m online shopping for them. Honestly, if Zazzle still sold them, I would’ve bought them and saved myself the gas from going shop to shop.
I hear you, @Susang6 ! I had hoped the scented jar candles would do well for me–better than the 3”x4” wax candles–because you get the jar. But, alas, I’ve not sold too many of those either.
I think they are expensive for what they are… I gave my MIL the peony and like said she does not keep anything I give her, regifts everything. I told her it was natural, hand poured and she could not get the same thing at Kohls, I convinced her to to light it and she loved it. If people would read the about they would learn more about the candle and know that its worth the price.
