Hello
I had a customer that chimed in, that saw my artwork on business cards and wanted me to design him a business card for his motorcycle shop. We worked together for 2 days with a few drawings I did for his cards, he arrived at the drawing he liked, went on to order the cards and, Zazzle flagged it declaring a guideline issue.
Here’s the problem:
First, this ones a mystery, in that, “Whats the Problem”? It’s a Motorcycle Shop, The owners last name is “Monks”. He requested an image/drawing of a Monk on a Harley, smoking a cigar, (which the shop owner partakes in) and he wanted his last name “Monks” displayed on the tank of the bike I drew. The name of his motorcycle shop is “Monastery”, Monastery Motorcycles.
I modified the drawing by: taking away the Cigar, that didn’t work. Then I removed his name “Monks” from the drawing on the tank. Seriously! Then the image/card was completely taken away from my store. Zazzle should modify their Guideline notice and at least give some sorta reason for this sort of action. Pretty radical they’d remove the image so abruptly/quickly too. This gentleman was potential business now for Zazzle and myself and in the future…I don’t even begin to see the problem…I’m pissed about having to sacrifice what he wanted on his business products for reasons I can’t find out about.
Thanks for any feedback or answers on this…of course it had to be a weekend where I couldn’t phone anyone at Zazzle concerning this.
