I have had to hunt and hunt to find things in the new design tool–things that I used to find with no trouble at all. I have been doing zazzle 17 years (in May) and this should not be the case. It is taking forever to do simple postcards now.My current question is: I often use the square element with the center removed to form a frame around my image. Usually, I need to resize the frame by dragging one of the “handles” around the frame. Now, I cannot do that. Instead when I drag one of any of the handles the ENTIRE frame enlarges when I do not want the whole thing to do so. How do I accomplish this now? Also, I had a hard time finding how to make the square element center part clear so all I would have is a frame. After a long time I finally found it but it is so hidden that I am not sure I will remember it the next time.

I’m very sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your design. The square element is working as expected for me currently when trying to resize. Can you clarify what the issue is or provide a link/screenshot to the design exhibiting the error?

Pàdraig, thank you for coming to my assistance. However, after desperately combing through lots of helpful Zazzlers’ postings in the “ask a question” and “create” forums, I got some help–took lots (too much) time to do so. In the old design tool, I could have completed 3 designs in this time it took for one. There is all these sort of hidden places where one has to really dig in order to get to them–they are not self-evident! Because of the round about way to get to many of these tools, it is going to be harder to remember them! It is quite convoluted. Now, I have to find out how to find the text tools that allow for text shadow (mine seems to be locked and won’t unlock) and how to do the text stroke, etc. --I loved using it in the old design tool and it was super easy to find and to do! This is such a pain and for what one earns, can’t help thinking it is no longer worth it. If after being here for 17 years and having this amount of difficulty with the design tool, I cannot imagine how hard it must be for many customers who have had no experience on Zazzle . There are other avenues for getting similar products which I imagine would be far easier for them. But back to my current problem, how does one find and then use the text shadow and stroke options in this new design tool?
under Effects – you really just have to work it until it starts making a bit more sense. It is cumbersome but they are fixing the most obvious –
