If I have my payments on hold, do they remain so at the end of the calendar year? Or will it be paid out with the December payments whether I change the setting or not? I read an info page, and it said something about June? and I was a little confused by that?

I’ve had mine on hold for over a year due to a move and there wasn’t any payout in December or any other time.

thanks! I was just wondering if it has to pay out by year end due to tax reasons or whatever. Did you still receive an earnings statement/1099 for the year (if you are in the US)?
You get an earnings statement for whatever you earned, whether or not you accepted the payment.
