As I was trying to decide how to price my pickleball paddles, I did a search for pickleball paddles and selected the low to high price filter. I was surprised to see there are many listed prices that can not include any royalty or less than 5% royalty. How is this even possible, when as a designer we are not able to choose a royalty less than 5%.
For example:
With 0% royalty added, the cost for a pickleball paddle is 74.38 if the “remove optional cover” is checked.
With 5% royalty added, the cost is $83.13, if the “remove optional cover” is checked.
With 5% royalty added, the cost is $89.25, if the “remove optional cover” is not checked.
