How Can Designers Trust the Dashboard? Clarification Needed

Thank you James for your response and for forwarding this concern to the technical team.

I’d like to add one very important concern: the last time this happened, many designers noticed that sales originally labeled “non-referred” — but paid out at third-party rates — were simply reclassified after the fact to match the lower payout.

This led many of us to feel that the system was retroactively adjusted to justify third-party earnings, rather than correcting a true tracking error. Understandably, this eroded trust in how our royalties are handled.

If the system can quietly change a sale’s classification after payment without notice and if it always seems to default to the lower payout It becomes impossible for us to feel confident in Zazzle’s reporting or royalty calculations.

I’m grateful this is being looked into again, but to truly rebuild trust, we need more than a technical fix. We need:

  • A public acknowledgment of whether this has happened again
  • A clear explanation of how and why these classifications are made or changed
  • A commitment to transparency in reporting moving forward
  • And, if this is a recurring error, a remedy for past affected sales

Our businesses and our peace of mind depend on knowing that what we see in our dashboards is honest and accurate. Without that, confidence in the platform suffers.

Thank you again for your time and for taking this seriously on behalf of all designers.
