How do I enlarge and sharpen a design?

Often when my design is too small It will tell me, resize and sharpen it, and ask me if I want to use the new image.
But sometimes it just won’t.
Is there a way to compel it to resize an image?

I use a free online app called Photopea, found on Photopea.com. Whenever you need to resize something, you can find the recommended sizes and guides found right in the design tool’s left hand side menu, under the Help tab. With those, you can open a new project with the suggested size and pixels. Then just add your image to that new project. Once you’ve added your image it automatically becomes a “smart object”. *A smart object will resize without deforming or distorting your image. To size your image, if it is too small or too large; while using the top tool (an arrow) which anchors your image in a blue outline, hold the shift key down and pull the blue outline either bigger or smaller. When you’re done with resizing, file>save your image. I almost always choose the .PNG format, because it will adjust better on Zazzle’s platform. .JPGs do not adjust all that well.
I also believe there are other free online programs, as well as $$ ones, that do well for others too, but getting familiar with one in the end is one of your biggest assets here.

Thanks for the recommend.

But I am asking about when Zazzle resizes/sharpens my images. Sometimes it does, sometimes it dosen’t.
Sometimes when it dosen’t - I need it to.

My question is - How can I get the Zazzle program to do it when it didn’t do it automatically.

I don’t usually bother with Zazzle doing it. I use Upscayl, it sharpens great and is good at enlarging. And it’s free………Upscayl - AI Image Upscaler

I agree - this was a convenient feature. There are, of course, lots of ways to enlarge an image but it was sooo nice to have it done automatically - plus, if you let Zazzle do the enlarging you could be sure it was actually big enough. Sometimes I end up having to make several different versions to get one large enough because I’m never quite sure how big it has to be for different types of products.
