I don’t mind the Zazzle logo on the back of my holiday cards, so I typically leave that in place. I was horrified today when I looked at a holiday card of mine that sold today and the back looked like this. How do I stop my cards from showing my store name and a QR code on the back?
I presume it’s edit details/product merchandising/change options and scroll down to Zazzle Logo and check “remove from back of card”
Although I’ve not tested it on any with a store name as I don’t have any (or at least the ones I’ve checked)
I don’t want to remove the Zazzle logo…I just want to remove my store name and that ugly QR code. In the real view images on the product page, it shows the back of the card with only the Zazzle logo centered at the bottom of the card. It does not show my store name or a QR code on the published design.
@SusanF must be a newish thing that Zazzle thinks is a great idea without asking for our opinion first lol.
I did not mark the last comment as the solution. I would like to hear from Zazzle as to why that info appears on the back of the card on the sold card, yet does not appear in my store on the actual product.
Strange… Is it this product?
I do not see this store informations there. And yes, think some of us wanted something like this for years, but not in this ugly way implemented ![]()
Yes, that is the card. I went in this afternoon and removed the Zazzle logo from the back after I saw how horrible it looked with the other store info and QR code placed on the sold card in a very unattractive way. I would like to be able to leave the Zazzle logo on the card and save the customer the added 12 cents that is added to the cost when the Zazzle logo is removed.
My preference would be to keep the Zazzle logo on the back of the card and NOT have my store name and a QR code printed on the back. I would like a Zazzle mod to tell me if that is possible and if so, how?
I would have appreciated a heads-up about a change like this—but who am I to expect that kind of communication?
I see where you’re coming from, but I’m not sure end customers will actually grasp what you’re trying to do. And Zazzle…?
If they’re removing all product information from the shop beforehand, being credited on the back is at least something. Still, it would have been better to ask us if that’s actually how we want it.
I personally like QR codes, but half the world doesn’t use them. We’re running into a real demographic issue here. QR codes are mainly for younger crowds.
Most cards are single-use items anyway. Nobody buys a second card just because they liked the first one. It’s easy to forget how carelessly people treat them: they buy 20, send one, and eventually throw away the other 19 some weeks later. It feels like way too much effort for a product that should work differently—at least in my view.
Sure, people pay attention to invitations, but with greeting cards, hardly anyone cares about the back. Cramming it with codes and details just makes it feel like an ad or a storefront to most people.
@SusanF I noticed this a little while ago, too. It only seems to affect some of my cards with the same combination of elements. I hope it gets fixed soon!
@SheaPrints Thanks for the link. Fiona passed it along a month ago. The reasoning is simple in my mind. I don’t think it’s for our benefit, if they want the customer to pay an extra 12¢ so be it. The card I designed today has full text on the back and, I don’t mind the Zazzle logo, but my store-info printed looks tacky.
I suppose I’ll remove all of it with each card. Thing that really gets me, is the 12¢ made my card $3.11 instead of the carefully thought out $2.99 price.
Another change I’ll make.
Thank you @SheaPrints for providing your experience and the link to the info. My card did NOT have any text on the back, just a striped pattern that was not tiled and it still triggered the ugly store logo and QR code arranged with the Zazzle logo in a sloppy, unbalanced manner. I would like a response from a mod on what can be done to resolve this issue.
I think this may actually be a remnant of something old and hopefully just an in situ issue that never got updated? (Not that that really puts anyone’s mind at ease because it’s not clear that it wouldn’t print this way) This was the way they tried to do the credit a few holiday seasons ago but I found a screenshot of an old forum post from 2024 (digital hoarder here) where they posted that this attribution was discontinued and the logo would be more integrated into the design.
The photo I posted in the original post was a screen shot of the back of the sold invitation on my earnings page. The in-situ of the published card on the product page in my store did not show my store name or that QR code printed on the back of the card. It only appeared after the card was sold.
That’s how I understood your post - sorry I wasn’t clear about that. I was trying to say it looks like it might be a remnant and some sort of old glitch or preview error and hopefully not something that actually showed up on a customer order.I completely get your frustration and confusion and I hope you (we) can get a straight answer soon. I suppose my answer was more to the people who were wondering if this was something new Zazzle was introducing.
