How to Edit the new Poster/Print sizes

HI, i received the email that the prints/posters have been resized and many are listing under discontinued. The instructions say to edit details>change options>select a standard size> and save. Then it should republish. I tried with multiple designs and I don’t see a save option. Then i leave the design to see if there is any option to save changes and I don’t see any.

How do we resize and save our designs?

@Color_Flow_Creations Just choose another size (portrait or landscape) that is in stock (all square sizes have been discontinued)

Once the button turns to blue (just about see it behind all the sizes)

image

Press ok then accept terms box then done

It will now be the new size you chose

Check any collections that it’s in so it doesn’t link out to out of stock option (remove then re-add to collection with new size)

I have been changing discontinued guest books and cell phone cases this way also.

Hi, Where do i choose the size? On the selling page or do i go into edit the design? I choose the new size but do not see OK or accepting the terms option.

I just found it, thanks

@Color_Flow_Creations in the back end of your store find your poster- actions drop down - edit details - change options

Press the “More 60” Select either portrait or landscape (all square sizes have been discontinued)

Then choose a size

Some of the standard sizes have been discontinued and it’s difficult to see

here the 8 x 12” is discontinued (you can see the heads up message hiding)

whereas the 11 x 14 is in stock (you can see the Pr..)

then press OK once you have a size

and as usual tick the box and press done

I’m not finding it to be just that simple, though. Changing the size is changing my layouts. Instead of resizing the whole image to fit within the confines of the new size, the program is zooming in, so I’m often getting details.

I don’t relish the thought of remaking 200 posters and losing my stats to boot.

I’m totally confused now on posters vs prints. Is there a list of the standard sizes somewhere for posters and prints and are they the same standard sizes for both or they do posters and prints have different standard sizes?

Bingo! Many times the standard sizes have radically different aspect ratios from the original custom size (which was the reason I chose a custom size to begin with!) Most of my posters are seating charts so I’m having to do a TON of fairly significant re-designing to make the text appropriately sized and to make them not look terrible!

For posters, I still see three square sizes existing, and I can add them to my cart:
12"x12"
16"x16"
24"x24"

The surviving Portrait and Landscape sizes:
4"x6"
5"x7"
8"x10"
8.5"x11"
11"x14"
11"x17"
12"x16"
12"x18"
16"x20"
16"x24"
18"x24"
20"x24"
20"x28"
20"x30"
24"x30"
24"x32"
24"x36"
30"x40"

Everything larger than 40" is gone. Of note, they got rid of 27"x40", which is the standard theatrical movie poster dimensions.

@Wollastonite Thanks for listing all the live sizes. My eyes convinced me that all the squares were discontinued as I was having trouble seeing behind when I selected. (need more coffee) Cheers!

Also of note: many European customers request a standard A1 poster size which is 594 × 841 mm (approximately 23.4 x 33.1 inches.) It’s no longer possible to offer that size.

Aaargh! Along with the headaches listed in trying to accomodate designs for the new limitations on print/poster/canvas sizes, I cannot access the design tool options to group or ungroup layers - Nor can I change option to reorient design from portrait to landscape mode - tools are totally useless now for the changes I must make to recompose a multi-layered image to fit the new product sizes, meaning I have to recreate from scratch hundreds of products that I’ve had published for as long as 15 years!!! What the heck was Zazzle thinking in implementing these changes at all, much less BEFORE assuring us Creators have practical working tools to adapt our designs! This is total insanity.
