I’d like to make a layer “see through”, like an overlay of one of the ‘elements’ on an image for the notepads, for example, so people can write on the pad, but still see the image. Is it possible with the Zazzle design tools? It’s probably staring me right in the face. Or maybe not. Thanks in advance.

You need to upload a transparent PNG file or a SVG file. SVGs are made in a vector graphics program. PNG files can be made in just about any graphics program

@pencilcat There is an option to remove white only - I’ve never used it so don’t know what sort of quality it produces. It’s on the right hand side of the design tool when your image is selected.
I agree with @waterart - better to edit in your graphics program and upload separately

Thanks. Yes I use that tool a lot, it cleans up the background of images nicely.
Like a few others, I created translucent images in Photoshop, filling the canvas with white, and then creating several versions of it, reducing opacity of the white to 50%, 30%, and 10%. I can combine them to create any opacity required, layering them as needed. I’ve done the same sort of thing to create both white and black vignettes. It doesn’t take long to do.
@pencilcat I second that idea wholeheartedly! Having the native ability to change the opacity of design elements within the Zazzle design tool would open up even more creative possibilities for creators and customers. Not to mention set Zazzle apart even further from PODs for customization capabilities.

Yes, agreed!! I end up making a transparent PNG in Canva and importing it. Should absolutely be a feature in Zazzle!
