I am finding it confusing as to where the new postings are for the Show Me forum. Also, when I want to post new stuff do I add it at the original start of a category (old postings) or reply with my posting way down to the newest/latest entry? And to do that, I guess I watch the dates and hours of when the latest was posted and just reply there? In the old Forum, new postings in Show Me were done by replying to the original posting not the oldest posting. I am just very confused with all this visual stuff on the page. I used to love visiting the Forum–it was so simple and took way less time to get to what you wanted to get to! Now it is a chore. The more experienced Zazzlers might see how this change has improved things but I am failing to see it yet.
No I have been here since 2016 and this version has been very hard for me to navigate. I used to be able to scan the listings, see if there was anything new and be gone. I guess the potential good for me is that I visit much less often, which is good for my productivity.
If it doesn’t default for you to the ones with newest activity first, click the “Activity” header to sort it that way.
If you want to respond directly to someone else’s comment in the thread, use the Reply button (turns gray when you mouse-over it) that appears at bottom right of every comment/post.
If you just want to add your products to the thread instead of responding to a specific comment, look to the right and drag the slider bar all the way to last post. (Here it’s showing I’m viewing #299 of 299 posts in the thread. )
When you’re at the bottom/last post, the big blue Reply buttons appears. Use that one.
Like most people, I tend to be adverse to change, but this new forum is proving to be difficult for me to navigate, too. I miss the old forum.
ColsCreations, It takes time to put all that helpful info into a reply, so know that I appreciate it. I THINK I can do it now. We will see!
I’m here every day checking ShowMe what’s new, what’s unread, what’s updated and that part is easy to navigate. But the mix of new posts sitting on top of old 2022 articles make everything feel cluttered. A lot of those older threads really should be archived.I search for topics constantly, and overall, the new format just feels more time consuming and not as professional as the old community. There’s a lot going on and, in my opinion, visually this new community doesn’t look professional. I miss the old forum too.
this forum feels like ai redesigned it. categories are hard to find; titles and subtitles are crammed together and difficult to read. button placement is non intuitive. the whole thing is very strange
BN_Stationery, I so understand your frustration. I have no idea where I should post or how to get there. I posted several things today and it appears to me (sure cannot actually figure out the system now!) that the timeline on the right side is telling me that my posts are appearing in 2022! I dragged the purple slider down to what I assume was the most recent post by someone in the category I was also want to post in–the timeline seemed to be indicating something like “7 hours ago” –at least that is how I interpreted it. So, I posted right beneath what I thought was the last and most recent posting. But now it shows my posts in 2022. At least that is what it looks like. Posting used to be sooooooo simple. Way too much info on these pages now and requires too much thought. Is there a simple explanation about how all these dates and postings should work? Sorry for jumping in on your post. It just hit a nerve with me and wanted to let you know you there are others of us who are not finding this a better way. Thanks for letting me join in.
(I do not do emoji’s and do not know what a waving hand even means!) I am not sure if that comment about the length of time since BN_Stationery’s post is in response to my very recent response to it or what because I am not sure about much of any of the Forums anymore. I do think it might be directed to me though not sure whose post it is. It just proves how confused I find all of this extra stuff that clutters these pages now. I cannot easily tell what is current, what is intended for me, where to respond and on and on. So I am clearly still not “getting it” but am trying. Still do not appreciate it though because it seems to take so much more time and effort to figure out what is what. Anyway, I will keep trying to figure out the “lay of the land” as it is now.
