I don't understand how the ambassador math works.

All of my products are 10% royalty.
I sent my link out. $130 worth of pre-tax post-july discount products were purchased.

The total back to me is $7.11.

So roughly a total of 5%?  Scratching my head here.

For some reason, editing isn’t working. I went through each item line by line.
For example, one that’s set to 10% royalty shows $1.58 royalty for the item.
However, the amount earned was $.29

Every item is like this.

@KaleCoAuto   which product’s referral isn’t mathing for you and which department is it in?

With all the royalty changes Zazzle made in April, 10% is now 5%.  Further, if you go above 10%, there is an “excess” royalty fee.  Under edit details in the royalty category, don’t believe the estimated earnings.  Zazzle needs to change that.  It is misleading.

baby bodysuits, sticker sheets, magnets, keychains

more than 5% for 10% they mentioned the self referrals are over 35%. But that does not seem to be the case

The “Excess” royalty fee does not influence too much. Most important is to improve number of sales to help all the platform asrise more on web markets worldwide. Of course, everything (Including royalties reporting and payments to Zazzle Creators) must work correctly and appropriately.

The excess royalty is just one cog in the “let’s cut sellers’ royalties at least 50% wheel”.  The cut is severe.

No, it doesn’t.  It’s just like the estimated royalties I mentioned - very misleading.

As Col linked out - each individual sale on your Royalty Report that comes in as “third party” (i.e not showing as a self referred) is liable for a “Marketing Referral Fee” which is calculated on which department that product is in.

Baby bodysuit - Clothing - 35% fee

Sticker sheets - Crafts - 40% fee

Magnets - Home & Living - 40% fee

Keychains - accessories - 40% fee

eg for your magnet 4.25 at 10% the MRF is 40%

This is new (ish) and come into being April.

A customer can also use coupons which would bring your royalty down further.

It’s severe and unfair.

I wonder whether the Zazzle decision-makers had any discussions with its voluntary Designers and Creators before imposing their unpopular changes. It’s clear for anybody reading this forum that there’s a huge undercurrent of dissatisfaction, so they must also be well aware of it. Does it finds its way back to the top, or is it just the innocent employees that have to sit on their hands as the posts come in?

And if Zazzle wants to take a marketing fee for items we design and create, which then sell successfully, let THEM add it to the price, rather than deducting it, leaving us poorer.

The Excess Royalty Fee is small enough that I didn’t mind raising my royalties to try to compensate for the extra Marketing fees.
