I would like to suggest an ignore feature.....

For forums that do not interest me. I know I can use the dropdown, or click on the forum boxes on the Creators page, to see the forums that do interest me, but I would much prefer to scroll down on the Creators page and view what has recently been posted. At the moment that is a chore, and involves clicking “Load More” a lot more than I wish to, due to all the postings in a forum that doesn’t interest me at all. Is it possible to add an ignore feature or even just add more options for how to view “Activity In Creators”? Thanks!

Just to squash any possible confusion, “Activity In Creators” sometimes shows as “Join a Conversation” 😳

Agreed. I don’t go to the Show Me forum because of the immense traffic it produces. And now, you’ve asked people to fill the forum. I’m afraid the other posts will be buried and lost to me.
Ignore would allow me to silence those posts, so I could see the “meat” instead of the “glitter”.

I was just going to create a post to recommend hiding the Show Me forum from the front page feed.

It’s really cool to have a feed but eventually the Show Me forum will overtake the whole thing. And I also am not interested in that forum.

The  Show Me forum is the exact one I was referring to. It didn’t take long for it to overtake the feed yesterday. I hope the Z Team sees this post and can create a solution for us.

Hi folks,

Many thanks for your feedback here! This has been noted and passed along to our Team ✍️

The organization here is still a work in progress for several reasons, all of which I do apologize for:

  1. For much of today’s afternoon/evening hours we’ve been unable to make any changes to the forums because the time has been set aside by our community provider so they can run updates of their own.

  2. The ordering of posts seems wonky. I just triple-checked that the feeds *should* be sorted by the most recent post (discussions with the most recent posts appear at the top). This is how our almost all forums operate. Instead, some pages are just showing the most recently created discussion, regardless of when the recent post was made. Need to figure out why this is happening.

  3. Eventually this “Community” discussion section will go away (we’ll get settled in and then write some how-to articles), and at that point there will be a home page and a Creators page. The home page is slightly more aimed at users that only occasionally visit the site, with featured articles up top and all that. This is probably not a great page to use if you’re looking to browse through the forums. The Creators page will soon become that page. Look for the Creators page to be more suited to the folks that visit the site a few times a week and are more interested in discussions. This means there probably wont be featured posts up top, and there will be different sidebar content, and improved discussion board presentation. Unfortunately, we’ve run into a variety of bumps in the road executing this (which is why the Creator section doesn’t look too great), but we’ll get there very soon. When I say “Creator section” I’m talking about the page you get to by clicking on the Creator link at the top of the page.

Very sorry about the messy appearance here. It’s not what we were hoping for. We hope to get it fixed up real soon. Just…maybe not tonight.
