It is no longer possible to move products that are already in the collections.
New products I add can be moved without any problems.

It’s working again now.
It’s actually doing this to me now. I just tried to put 4 items in a new collection. One product was made about a month or two ago. The other 3 were today. It appears I cannot move the old one. It just shoots back to the original spot. But I hit refresh, and it had moved it.

I came her to find out how to move the products in my collection. I tried and like you it just shoots back to the original spot. I closed out and then saw it moved to the right place.
